Nogometaši Manchester Uniteda i Wolverhampton Wanderersa uvjerljivim su se domaćim 3-0 pobjedama protiv momčadi koje se nalaze na posljednja dva mjesta na ljestvici, Watforda, odnosno Norwich Cityja, u nedjeljnim susretima 27. kola engleskog prvenstva približili pozicijama koje vode u eurokupove sljedeće sezone.

United je do pobjede protiv Watforda stigao pogocima Brune Fernandesa (42-11m), Martiala (58) i Greenwooda (75), dok je dvostruki strijelac za "vukove" protiv Norwicha bio Diogo Jota (19, 30), a pobjedu je potvrdio Raul Jimenez (50).

United je sada peti sa 41 bodom, tri manje od četvrtog Chelseaja, a jednim više od šestog Tottenham Hotspura te sedmog Sheffield Uniteda, dok je Wolverhampton osmi sa 39 bodova.

Watford i Norwich ostali su u zoni ispadanja, Watford je 19. sa 24., a Norwich 20. sa 18 bodova.
